Summer heat & monsoon care
Summer and monsoon season (roughly June through September) are the hardest months on a desert pool.
Summer heat
- Test more often; chlorine burns off quickly in heat and sun.
- Run the pump longer, at low speed if variable.
- Watch the water level daily.
After a monsoon storm
- Skim debris and empty baskets.
- Brush walls and vacuum the dust.
- Clean or backwash the filter.
- Test and rebalance; shock if the water looks cloudy.
